Serving Since 1924

About us

A 4th generation family-owned business operating in the service sector is a rarity these days – our industry has become consumed by corporate giants that just cannot provide the individual attention to people and detail that we do.

The founder – William Henry Christian, started putting old New York in uniform in 1924 and we have been a part of the fabric of this great city ever since.  As the need for building services grew, we expanded our product offerings and cleaning services to meet the demand of a city on the move.

Here we are, almost 100 years later – still serving some of those formative relationships from the great landmarks, museums and institutions that comprise the five boroughs as well as the surrounding suburbs.

We have a dedicated, professional staff that has been with us – some for decades.  We are proud of our employees, most of whom live locally and represent diverse cultures.  These employees have come to know our customers and treat them with a level of personalized attention that is simply not available anywhere else in our industry

As we have emerged from the pandemic, stronger than before, we continue to strive to be the best “green” uniform service in the tri-state area: we aim for sustainable growth using the latest eco-friendly initiatives possible.

Earth friendly detergents and cleaning supplies

Equipment that minimizes our carbon footprint

Environmentally conscious workplace protocols

We are often told that our clients consider us more than a uniform company – We are an extended family that makes every effort to live up to their high expectations. Likewise we see our customers as partners and we wish to build a relationship that they can rely on.

W.H. Christian is here to help. As a family-owned and operated business we take pride in our work. We know our customers and their needs. That’s why we offer personalization and authenticity that you won’t find with a large, publicly owned uniform supply company.
