This Fully embroidered American flag patch is the most requested patch of all. It is sewn onto caps, shirts, jackets and other items. Although it is often requested, we are sure Betsy Ross did not have the gold color border in mind when she created the first flag. The gold trim is found on ceremonial flags, to be used indoors and for ceremonies only. They originally were used on military flags.
